Harriet L. Bond, daughter of the late Marvin Foster and Deamie Conner, was born on September 23, 1911 in Charlotte, North Carolina. She departed this life on August 26, 2010. She received her education in the public school system in Charlotte, North Carolina. Aunt Harriet met and married the late Louis Bond in 1943 in Charlotte and shortly afterwards they moved to Baltimore, Maryland where she became a member of the Morning Star Baptist Church. Although she had no children of her own, Aunt Harriet was an inspiration to her nieces, nephews and marvel to all her family and friends. When she was asked what she attributed her longevity, she replied "I leaned on the Lord from day to day, trusting Him for His work." Although Aunt Harriet was homebound for years, she remained very active for someone who was 98 years old. She loved sports, especially baseball, soaps and talking about current events and old times. Aunt Harriet leaves to cherish the memory of her love a host of nieces and nephews, a goddaughter and many friends.
