Hazel Agnes Jackson-Cunningham was born in Seoul, Korea on July 3,1954 to the late Theodore and So ok Bai Kim Franklin. She was the oldest of four children. Her father was a career U.S. Army veteran and her mother, a homemaker, traveled all over the world where Hazel attended various schools. She graduated from the Baltimore City Public School System Northwestern High School in 1972. After graduation, she attended the University of Maryland College Park and graduated in 1976 earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice. On June I, 1977 she became employed by the State of Maryland and served for 38 years as a Personnel Specialist/Supervisor until her death. Hazel was married to Bentley Jackson and from that union one son was born Darien T. Jackson. On August 23, 1990 Hazel married her beloved husband Michael C. Cunningham, Sr., and from this union two sons were born, Sean F. Cunningham and Patrick C. Cunningham. Hazel was a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend and neighbor. Hazel was a talented and creative artist who enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and especially creating arts & crafts. She loved being in her arts & crafts sanctuary which was in the club room of her home which was built by her husband with precision and love. Hazel enjoyed creating custom-made specialty greeting cards, jewelry and many other creative forms of art. She was a joy to be around and touched countless lives in her lifetime. She loved to laugh and had the prettiest smile. She was selfless, always putting others before herself. She truly believed in treating everyone with respect and dignity and would be the first to help a friend in their time of need. Memorial Service Joseph H.
