Helen Dotson Cutis-Jones daughter of the lat e Ella Mae Dotson and Carrol Chaney was born Jun e 27, 1940 but raised by her grand- mother, Hattie Mae Robinson. Helen departed this life on December 16, 2016 peacefully surrounded by her family.

She was the wife of the late Thomas Eugene Curtis. As a young woman H e len was a working student for Spring Grove Hospital Center as a nurse technician.

Known to many as Mrs. Helen, but to us she was a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She had a spe c ial way of bringing everyone together for jo y ous occasions , laughter , good food and cheer . There was never a dull moment when engaging with her. She also didn't mind being a listening ear, as long as she can give a ver y blunt but truthful opinion.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Antonio Eugene Curtis and Joseph Walker; two grandsons , Damon Curtis and Jovan Walker .

She lea ve s behind to mourn: two sons , Rodney Curtis and Don Curtis ; four daughters , Constance Curtis , Carol Ann Curti s , Karen Harris and Mari e Anderson ; two sons-in-law , Mario Harris and M e lvin Anderson ; 11 g randchildren, 22 great grand c hildren, 2 great-great grand c hildren; her lif e lon g best friend Anita Riv e r s and a host of other famil y and friends.
