IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Henry C.
Allen
January 27, 1956 – May 4, 2017
Henry Clay Allen, son of the late Henry Hoover and Hennie Mae Allen, was born on January 27, 1956 in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life on Thursday, May 4, 2017 after a brief illness.
Henry was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System, graduating from Edmondson Senior High School. He received his BS degree from Cheney University. Henry was the proud father of Branden Allen and grandfather of Kimora and Kacie Bella Allen. He was a dedicated and committed Recreation (Counselor) Supervisor, working at The Charles Hickey School, University of Maryland Hospital System and the Arrow Project. He retired early due to health issues.
Henry gave his life to Christ at an early age while attending Sunday School at Shiloh Christian Community Church. After some time away, Henry rededicated his life to Christ and attended Shiloh Christian Community Church regularly.
Henry was a quiet hard-working person but could readily become the life of the party. He was compassionate, loving and generous to his family and friends. Everyone who knew him will sincerely miss him.
Henry leaves to cherish his memory; one son Branden Allen; grandchildren Kimora Allen, Kacie Bella Allen, two sisters Latate Allen, and Janice H. Allen-Reed; one niece Alyssa April Reed, one nephew William Reed, two great nephews Devin Smith and Dente Smith, many cousins and many other relatives and close friends.
In addition to his parents, Henry is preceded in death by his niece Latrese Coleman.
