The final chapter in the life of Mr. Herbert Colvin, was written on Thursday, May 20, 2010 at Furture Care Nursing Home Irvington Baltimore, Maryland. The late Mr. Herbert Colvin was born on December 28, 1937 in Chester, South Carolina. He was the son of the late Mr. Johnson Colvin and Mrs. Sally Colvin. He jioned the Gethsemane Baptist Church in South Carolina. He came to Baltimore, Maryland in the early 1960's. He jioned the New Psalmist Baptist Church and went to Tuesday Night Bible Class, until he became ill. He worked as a Construction Worker for many years. He retired from Universal construction Company at the age of seventy. He enjoyed Fishing, baseball and playing the harmonica. He was preceded in death by sight brothers and five sisters. He leaves fond memories to: his wife, Mre Louvinia M.Blackston; a son from a previous marriage. Herbert Colvin Jr., Charlene; three stepchildren, Marilyn L., Irvin L. Angie and Walter E. Blackston; sister Eloise Jones of Jersy City, New Jersey; three brothers, Mr. Roosevelt Colvin, Mr. Leslie Colvin all of Baltimore, Maryland and Mr. Major Colvin of Trenton, New Jersey; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, four sisters-in-law, Audrey Taylor of Bowie, Maryland, Ida Luscas of Havre de Grace, Maryland, Sarah Pringle of Edgewood, Marland and Eillen Dorsey Louis of Easton, Maryland; brother-in-llaw Oji Blackston of Pinole, California; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
