Herbert Moore, the eldest son of the late Leonard and Clara B. Moore entered this life on June 23, 1944 in Baltimore, Maryland. He went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 27, 2015 after a short illness. Herbert gave his heart to the Lord at an early age and served as an Altar Boy at St. Vincent De Paul's Catholic Church. He was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System and worked as a laborer at Lexington Market and H&S Bakery. Herb, as he was affectionately called was a very loving, funny, and devoted son, brother and uncle. He loved family gatherings where they would play Pinochle for hours. He truly enjoyed laughing, telling stories and jokes. He also enjoyed playing Dominos, Spades, and Chess with his friends at the Canton Harbor Future Care Nursing Center where he lived until he became ill on Thursday, April 9, 2015. Herbert was blessed with one son, Dwayne Joseph Keys and a devoted special friend, Annette "Netta" Reams, both preceded him in death. Herbert leaves to cherish his memories: five brothers, Vernon Shelton, James Braxton, Gregory (S.Yvonne), Rodney, and Wendell (Antoinette) Moore; two sisters, LaVerne Moore and Romona (Ronald, Sr.) Jones; daughter-in-law, Kellie Keyes; stepson, Quinton Carter (Charese); three granddaughters, Brittany, Deara, and Tenia; a close aunt, Ernestine Braxton; devoted nieces, Nicole, LaKeisha and Jenelle and a host of other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great nephews, cousins and dear friends.
