IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Hercules Williams
Jr.
October 13, 1943 – September 3, 2024
HERCULES WILLIAMS, JR, son of Hercules Sr. and Esther Williams, was born on October 13,1943. He departed this life peacefully on September 3, 2024, after a brief illness.
Hercules was affectionately known as "Junior" by his siblings and "Herk" by family and friends. He was educated in the Baltimore City Public School system and received his Bachelor's in Criminal Justice from Coppin State College during his time in the "army". He was an avid learner and storyteller with a great sense of humor. He was a true Renaissance man—great at sports, artistry, photography, and cooking. Boy, could he make some good fried potatoes and a mean pot of great northern beans!
Hercules loved spending time with his friends and family— from comedy shows and concerts to family gatherings and parties, he was always the life of the party and ever so dapper! Hercules was sure to be dressed from head to toe!!
Being raised in a Christian home, Herk accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at a young age at Providence Baptist Church. He later became a member of Southern Baptist Church and remained active until his health began to fail him. At that time, his longtime friend Deacon Bernard, ensured Hercules continued to receive communion.
Hercules was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Mae Williams; daughters, Senetha Williams and Delervie "DeeDee" Johnson; grandson, Maurice B. Johnson-Bey; sisters, Joyce Smith, Sonia Henson, Yvonne Spellman and brother, Leon Stanley.
Hercules leaves behind to mourn, his daughter, Melissa Berry; grandson, Demetrio "Meo" McCullough; granddaughter, Lyshay Gorham; great-granddaughter, Ziyan McCullough; sisters, Brenda Fowler and Esther Blow and a host of family and friends. He also leaves to mourn his cherished friends, who were more Eke brothers - Billy Plumber and Bobby Jones who remained his loyal confidant until his last days.
