Davis

Herman M. Davis, beloved son of George and
Elizabeth Davis was born on August 28, 1931 at
John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.
He departed this life on June 4, 2018, after a short illness.
Herman received his early education in the Baltimore
City Public Schools system, he finished at Carver High
School in Baltimore, Maryland. He chose his career as
carpentry, a trade that he loved and learned from his
father, and he mastered it.
Herman made numerous friends wherever he went. He
was the King of trash talk and loved playing spades. In
May 2017, he won the title of King of all senior buildings
in Baltimore, Maryland. Even at his place of Residence
Bernard Mason Apartments.
Herman was also best known for making the best
Codfish & Crab cakes in town. He was the fifth child of
seven. In which three siblings preceded him in death.
Herman was also the father of ten children, in which four
of his children preceded him in death as well.
He leaves behind; six children, Sharon Nelson, Carolyn
Williams, Uyvonne Scott, Glen Davis, Angela Davis,
Andre Davis; two sisters, Lucille Gaines and Lillian
Jackson; one brother, James Davis; twenty-three
grandkids and great-grands. A host of .nieces and
nephews, and two very close friends who stayed with
him 'til the end, Ms. Jean and adopted son David Harris.
He also leaves behind, his very best friend from
Richmond, VA, Ronald Wall AKA Shorty.
