Hilda M. Diggs, daughter of the late Leonard and Eva Diggs, was born on December 3, 1933 in Baltimore, Maryland. She departed this life on September 14, 2012 after a lengthy illness. She received her education in the Baltimore City Public School System. At a young age, she began working at Protorsilex until many years later when her father's health began to fail him. She was a member of Morning Star church for many years. In 1950, Hilda was blessed with one child, a son, Michael Thomas, Sr. Years later she married Eddie Numley. Grannie, as she was known by everyone, loved to play cards, listen to oldie but goodies and going to the casino. And let's not forget her lottery, Grannie had to have her lottery played. Grannie loved cooking for her family; her favorite meals to prepares for her family were muffins and homemade biscuits. Grannie made numerous friends wherever she went. Whoever came in contact with Grannie always left with a warm spirit within themselves. The thing that Grannie most lived for was her grandchildren. Grannie's grandchildren were the joy of her life. She leaves to mourn; one son, Michael Thomas, Sr.; two sisters, Darlene Crooms, Louis McGotten; one brother, Jerome McGotten; one sister-in-law, Margarita McGotten; eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, seven great-grreat-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including a special friend, Robin.
