HOLLIS McCLAIN, affectionately known to family and friends as "Mama", was born on May 18, 1944 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Thomas and Dora McClain. Hollis was called home on July 13, 2013. She received her education from Southern High School in Baltimore, Maryland. She worked for Ropers Eastern, Maryland Paper Box and retired from the Baltimore City Public School System. Hollis was a fan of all sports. She had a genuine loving spirit that was humble, giving, carefree and above all, a respect and endless love for her family. Hollis was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Dora McClain; brothers, Roy and Thomas Green, George, Edward and Tyrone McClain. Hollis leaves to cherish her memory: her sons, Jeffrey, Gregory and Kevin McClain and James El "Universe"; grandchildren, Terrence, TaKia, Carlos, Janay, Jawaun, Jada, Natalie and Tyesha; great-grandchildren, Donta, TyQuan, Jasmine, MaKayla and Jamari; daughter-in-law, Sharon McClain; special niece, Mchelle McClain Rivers; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
