Obituary

Hosea Sylvester Chamblain was born on November 28, 1947 in Baltimore, Maryland to a loving mother, the late Ella Mae Walker Chamblain, and an industrious father, the late Hoseea chamblain. Hosea was affectionately known to known to family as "Junior" or "Hosee" and friends as "Hose'". He departed this life peacefully on February 11, 2012 at Saint Agnes Hospital. Hosea was educated in the Baltimore City Public School system. He graduated from Edmondson High School in 1965. He also attended Morgan State University. He worked briefly for the Social Security Administration as a clerk. He was artistically talented and enjoyed composing songs, as well as writing poetry. In the 1980's, he was privileged to be published in the American Society of composers, Authors and Publishers for his song title, "Lazy Girl." Hosea had an attracting personality. He was always Mr. Popularity. He could walk into a room and everyone would know his name. He loved speaking, laughing and joking with all he met with all he met and getting to know new people. Junior love food and enjoyed eating all types, but especially fried chicken with with mustard. He had an eye for fashion, at least his own fashion, and was a cowboy at heart and could be seen sporting cowboy hats and boots. At the age of forty-one in 1988, Hosea experienced a debilitating stroke that limited his mobility and speech, but Junior persevered. He slowly regained strength and was able to walk using a walker and speak slowly so that others could understand him. Hosea was determined to keep living, and that's just what he did. Hosea leaves to mourn him; two loving sisters, Brenda Johnson and Janet Gough; three nieces, Clelena Jackson, Kisha Brown Thomas and Quiana Jones Fredrick; three great-nephews, James Jackson, Marquise Brown and Keyshawn Brown; three uncles, Wilbert Walker, James Walker and Moses Walker; two aunts, Bernice Quarles and Thelma Lay; and a host of cousins and friends.
