Hosea Lee Parker, Sr., son of the late Iva Gross and Hosea Parker, was born on January 11, 1957 in Annapolis, Maryland. He departed this life on October 28, 2014 after a lengthy illness. Hosea received his education in Annapolis Public School System, but later moved to Baltimore where he continued his education. He was a bricklayer by trade until he succumb to illness. Hosea new the Lord and would frequent New Life Church with his brother Herger. He moved to Baltimore where he met his first Lady, Avis Pettaway, and out of this union two children were born, Hosea Lee Parker Jr., who proceeded him in death and Michelle Parker-Blackston of Windsor Mill, Maryland. He later met and married Wanda Stewart, and out of this union he had two sons, Marvin Parker and Don Parker. Hosea had a very generous heart and would help anyone in need. He loved to ride around the town or just sit and watch movies with his sidekick, Jessica Cotton, who helped care for him until his death. He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving daughter, Michelle Parker- Blackston; sons, Marvin and Don Parker; son in law, Brian Blackston Sr.;daughter in law, Alesha Parker; four sisters, Iva Brown, Naurkeath Thurman, Queen Thurman and devoted sister Laura Parker; brother, Herger Thurman; grandchildren, Brandon, Brittney, Kychante, Breion, Bryce, Don Jr. and Jeremiah; Aunt Mary Parker; lifelong friend, A vis Pettaway; two special friends, Rodney Brown and Ralph Lucas; Care Provider/Surrogate daughter, Jessica Cotton and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
