Howard
Fields
June 26, 1930 – April 27, 2019
Mr. Howard Wendell Fields was born in Baltimore,
Maryland on June 26, 1931 to the late Robert and
Henrietta Fields. After being educated in Baltimore City
Schools, he joined the Air Force and served during the
Korean War conflict.
As a member of St Luke United Methodist Church, the
family's church, he sang in the Men's Choir and the Male
Chorus of United Methodist Men.
He worked for many years at the Department of Justice in
Washington, DC. He later started his own commuter van
service transporting Federal Government employees to DC
from the Baltimore area.
Among his many passions was watching horror movies and
old westerns. Many of which, he saw repeatedly.
He was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 32 years,
Lillie Pearl Fields, his five brothers, Robert, James, Novel,
Earl, Laurence, and one sister Evelyn (Sister) Weems,
as well as one stepson, Stevie Richmond.
Left to mourn Howard are his loving sister,
Mildred Shaw (95 years young), daughters Sharon Fields,
Denise Lee, LaJuan (Reginald) Payton, and son Wendell
(Vicky) Blue. Additionally, he leaves to cherish his memory
five stepsons; James (Myrna) Richmond, Ervin (Nadine)
Richmond, Harold (Pam) Richmond, Mark Richmond,
Joseph (Kathy) Ferguson. and one step daughter. Cynthia
