Obituary

Howard Robert Greer, son of the late Oliver J. Greer Sr. and Alice R.L. Jews, was born July 11, 1948 in Baltimore, Maryland. The Lord loaned us his servant and called him home to rest suddenly on June 8, 2006. Howard received his education in the Baltimore City Public School System. He furthered his education and graduated from the University of Baltimore with degree in Business Management. While attending the university on a scholarship, he played lacross. After college, Howard worked at the Division of Parole and Probation for several years before leaving with a medical disablity. Howard married the former Barbara Grigg, and from this union they had two children, Temujin Howard Greer and LaToya M. Greer. His children were the love of his life and he was proud of their accomplishments in life so far. He was proud that they followed his footsteps and got their college degrees. Howard enjoyed attending Ebenezer African Methodist Episcopal Church each Sunday. He especially enjoyed attending Sunday School classes each week. He would arise at 4:00 a.m. each week to prepare for church. He also loved singing with the Men's Chorus and Mass Chior from time to time. He loved to support his church. To Howard, the 170th Church Anniversity Banquet was the highlight of activities given by the church. He discussed the good time had by all attendees of the affair endlessly. He leaves to mourn: his son, Temujin; daughter LaToya; wife, Barbara; mother Alice R.L.
