Obituary

Howard Eggy Edwards, Jr. the only son of Mary and Howard Edwards Sr., both deceased, was born in Baltimore, Maryland and was baptized at an early age at Enone Baptist Church. He received his education from the Baltimore City Public School System. He was blessed with his only child, a son Howard, born on February 27, 1968 with Geraldine Grant deceased. He was drafted by the United States Army in 1968. He was deployed to fight in the Vietnam War in April of 1969 through May of 1971. When Howard returned from the war,, he worked for the Baltimore City Public School System as a janitor for sixteen years. He later worked for Lutheran Hospital until it closed, Heinz Poultry House and Norman Holt Florist until it closed. Eggy was a man with a gentle soul, who loved and adored his son, grandsons, his sisters and other family members unconditionally. He was someone who lived his life as he wanted. He treasured his true friends and love everything and everyone in the 2300 block of Edmondson Ave. He will truly be missed by all that knew and love him. He leaves to mourn; his son, Howard Edwards, III; sisters, Rose Evans, Delphia Edwards, Sharon Diane Edwards, Dr. Lorece Edwards and Kimberly Edwards; three grandsons, Marquise Edwards, Jeran Edwards and Kevin Lee; daughter-in-law, Dominique Edwards; one great aunt, Delphia Marshall age 95; lifetime neighbors and friends, John Wesley, Robert Lendsey Bonkey, James Thomas Squabbles and Glenn Smith; and a host of other relatives and friends.
