HOWARD EDWARD LEONARD, SR., son of Gertha Leonard and the late Paul Hebron, was born on November 28, 1960 in Jersey City, New Jersey. On Saturday, February 2, 2013, he was suddenly called home to be with the Lord. Howard was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System and later enlisted in the United States Army Reserve. After being discharged from the Army, he married his former wife, Diana Houston. Out of this union two children were born, Howard E. Leonard, Jr. and Tieshia Leonard-Carter. In the year 2008, Howard relocated from Baltimore, Maryland to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to fulfill his dream of becoming a drug counselor. Howard was down to earth, very personable, easy to communicate with and was fun-loving and had a witty sense of humor. He made numerous friends wherever he went. He had a radiant smile and cherished his children and family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Howard leaves to mourn: his son, Howard Edward Leonard, Jr.; his daughter, Tieshia Carter Raymond; three grandchildren, Tyshawn Leonard, Amerra Leonard and Raymond Carter, Jr.; three sisters, Linda Russell, Wanda Harris James Bernard and Patricia Johnson Robert; two brothers, Alvin Leonard Katherine and Willie Leonard Gloria; also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. "A MOTHER'S LOVE" Son, the love I have for you was something that no one can explain. It was made of deep devotion and of sacrifice and pain. They say memories art golden, Well, maybe that is true, I never wanted memories, I only wanted you. I believed beyond believing when the world around condemned. My love glowed with all the beauty and the rarest brightest gem. In life I loved you dearly, in death I love you still; In my heart you will hold a piece no one will ever fill. Our family chain is broken and nothing will seem the same; But as God calls us one by one, that chain will link again. Love, Ma
