Hubert Adolphus Sullivan was born on January 18, 1944 at City Hospital

in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Ella Mead Robingson Sullivan and the

late Morton James Sullivan, Sr. He was one of 9 children and passed

peacefully from this life on August 6, 2019. After battling a lengthy

illness, he departed this earthly life peacefully at home with his wife as

he had wished.

During his life he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family and

loved to laugh and make others laugh as well. He also enjoyed singing

and dancing. Hubert attended Booker T. Washington Junior High School

and graduated from Douglass High School in Baltimore, Maryland.

Shortly after his school days he took on a job at Suburban Country Club

and later worked for some time at Union Memorial Hospital. It was

during these years that he was reunited with a childhood acquaintance,

Myra Dennis, that he had met many years earlier in her hometown of

Hampton, Virginia. He soon moved on to work in Beltsville, Maryland

at the Headquarters for Duron Paints where he retired from 36 years later

in 2005.

After courting Myra for some time, they were joined in matrimony on

Halloween, October 31, 1964. Two years later Myra gave birth to their

first son Mark (Tony) who was followed by Rodney (Roc) a couple years

later in 1968. Hubert and Myra raised their family initially in Dundalk

and later moved the family to west Baltimore.

Hubert outlived all of his siblings with the exception of his youngest

sister Diane Williams who still lives in Baltimore. Those that preceded

him in death were: sisters, June Jones, Silvia Lee, and Lillian Jones, as

well as brothers, Morton James Sullivan, Jr., Samuel Sullivan, William

A. Sullivan, and Donald Sullivan.

Hubert leaves to cherish his memory: his beloved wife of 55 years Myra

V. Sullivan, sons Mark and Rodney Sullivan, grandchildren Sophia,

Chelsea, and Malik Sullivan, great-grandchildren Janiyah Jones, Savion

Johnson, Dejon Jones, Jr., and Dante Sullivan, as well as a host of nieces,

nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces, great-great

nephews, as well as other family and friends
