Celebrating the Life & Legacy of Ian “Billy” T. Saint-Georges
May 09, 1966 - April 05, 2026
On May 9, 1966, in Baltimore City, Maryland, the sun rose and shined brightly for parents William T. Ford Sr. and Alice L. Ford; blessing them with their only son, William T. Ford, Jr., known to all as “Billy”.
The sun set for Billy, on Sunday April 5, 2026. He was preceded in death by both parents, and his sister Vanessa.
Billy attended Douglas High School, and set off for an adventurous life by joining the United States Navy, followed by enlistment in the United States Marine Corps Reserves, where he received his rifle marksmanship designation (1988- 2003).
When Billy returned home from military life, he set his eyes on a beautiful woman; whom he married, and from that union, his heart was stolen by their only child, a daughter - Jasmine L. Ford.
During his earlier years, Billy would travel to North Carolina for summer vacations, spending time with family, and getting into mischief with his cousins. He reminisced often about the wonderful times they had together. He was incredibly passionate and inquisitive about life and people. He never met a stranger, and was a friend to many, far and wide. Talking with people was one of his love languages, and on a daily basis, he would talk for hours on end about life experiences. He was so passionate that he even learned to speak Korean.
It was through his own personal lifes’ journey and experiences that he chose to change his name to Ian T. Saint-Georges, but to all who knew and loved him, he was and will forever be, Billy.
Following his military career, Billy held various jobs throughout Baltimore, Maryland, and at the time of his death, was employed for the federal government for 19 years at the Social Security Administration’s Wabash Avenue facility in Baltimore City.
On February 1, 2012, Billy became committed to a new adventure in life, and although he was the ultimate girl-dad, his heart was stolen again, when he became a grandfather to his only grandson, Jahmere.
This changed Billy’s life in a major way. He was committed to pouring positivity into Jahmere, and he always showed up. He never missed a sporting event that Jahmere was involved with, he nurtured him, and they shared an unbreakable bond, like none other. Jasmine was “Daughter Brain” and Jahmere was “Little Brain”. Jasmine proved him right, when she not only became a CNA, but ultimately became a nurse.
Billy loved to laugh and was the ultimate prankster! He had many interests and hobbies throughout his lifetime which included traveling, attending games and practices for Jahmere, taking long walks, swimming, shopping at Target, attending the state fair, playing chess, going to movie theaters, watching funny videos and movies on YouTube, exploring Georgetown, touring the navy ships docked at the Baltimore Inner Harbor, and visiting Myrtle Beach to visit extended family and friends.
Through all things, his guilty pleasures were spending time with his daughter, grandson, family, and childhood friends.
Billy will be remembered for his sarcastic sense of humor, his sharp shoes, and outfits, with belts to match, his love for his Kangol hats, his famous cheese eggs, his spirit of respectfulness, generosity, and his caring nature (He became a certified nursing assistant (CNA), to provide a greater level of care to his mom during her illness). He was an honorable human being, often providing words of encouragement to others “There are no bad days“. He was an amazing son, father, grandfather, and friend.
Billy leaves to mourn this profound loss, his only beloved daughter Jasmine L. Ford, only grandson Jahmere J. Evans, god-daughter Brittney Benbow, uncle, McArthur Howard, four (4) aunts Shirley Fowler (Samuel), Patricia Baldwin (Ernest, preceded in death), Barbara Kell (George), and Wanda Pierce (Lovell), best friends Stanely Eppes, Clyde Clark, Michelle Smith, Monique Collins, and Cheryl Penn, and a host of adoring extended family, neighbors, friends and coworkers.
