Obituary

IDA MAE BYERS was born on October 6, 1927 in Columbia County, Georgia to the late Wilbur Willingham and Rosa Willingham. She attended Columbia County, Georgia Winfield Grammar School. Ida accepted Christ into her life at an early age joined the First Mt. Carmel Baptist Church of Appling, Georgia. She came to Baltimore, Maryland at age 23 and married Wilbert Byers. Ida became a member of Remnant Baptist Church. She worked as a Domestic Laborer and raised four beautiful daughters. Ida lived independently until her recent illness in Spring 2014. Son-in-law, Leroy, took care of her with so much love. She leaves to mourn: four daughters, Stella Sykes, Roxanne Kirkland, Ida Mae Fliggins and Loretta Byers; sister, Bertha Powell; eleven grandchildren, Stephen, Lisa, Roxanne, Anthony [r., Antonio, Muriel, Amanda, Garry, Sharisa, Joanna and Joseph [r.; seventeen great-grandchildren and two great-great- grandchildren; two sons-in-law, Leroy Kirkland and Anthony Fliggins Sr.; four sisters-in-law, Lorraine, Ruth, Bertha Mae and Bais.:a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends Viewing Joseph H.
