IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Irvin John
Randall
March 9, 2026 – March 9, 2026
Irvin John Randall was born on August 6, 1961, at Baltimore City Hospital to the late Preston Lee Randall Sr, and Naomi Randall Wilkins. Irvin transitioned from this earthly realm on February 16, 2026. Irvin Attended Baltimore City Public Schools, graduating from Lake Clifton High School in 1979. Upon graduating from high school, Irvin worked in various industries, such as retail and food services. His long-term employment as a Food Services Manager at Morty’s Restaurant was the one employment he was most proud of and happy to work there. Irvin eventually left the food service industry, to become a caregiver for his Sister Suzanne Randall in the mid 90’s until her passing and later cared for his Mother Naomi Randall Wilkins in the early 2000’s until her passing in 2016. Irvin was the father of two children, Shawanda Randall and Devin Bowles. Because Irvin was a teenage Father, parenthood presented many challenges but a lot of rewards, such as seeing the smiles on his kids faces, and the hugs of their tiny arms around his neck. Irvin grew up along with his kids, sometiemes displaying the same behaviors as they did. His sense of fun, adventure, cooking, laughing, and gathering with family and friends were some of his most important life comforts. Irvin loved experimenting in the kitchen, his most favorite dish was scrambling eggs, with onion, cheese and hotdogs all mixed together and always cooked in the middle of the night, and most times would leave the dishes for someone else to clean up. Irvin did not know the meaning of the word stranger, if he met you once you were automatically his friend. If you were out with Irvin in the streets, he would enthusiascally yell “Hey Baby” as loudly as he could and would invite anyone to Family events. Irvin knew how to care and protect his sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins and of course his children. As much as Irvin liked to care for others, he especially liked to be cared for, he would frequently call a family member and say, “T need...” and explain what he needed, and most times he received what he needed, some would even say he was spoiled. You could always find Irvin downtown at Lexington market meeting his numerous friends, just hanging out, or getting crab meat before making his way back home. Irvin also loved to watch movies, buying them from “The man off the corner” to watch in the comfort of his own home. Although Irvin wasn’t a member of a church, however he enjoyed visiting different churches to hear the word of God and he enjoyed praise and worship music. Irvin John Randall leaves to mourn his long-term partner Carolyn Phillips, his children Shawanda Randall and Devin Bowles, his two grandsons, Cheo Thomas Jr and Khariem Thomas, his two great grandchildren, Kaleb Thomas and Brielle Thomas, his sisters, Irene Parker and Marcella Randall, and at least 3 generations of nieces, and nephews, and a host of friends. We can’t forget the two significant women of his youth and the mothers of his children, Robin Smith and Ventrice (Cookie) Bowles.
Irvin Randall will be missed dearly.
