Isabelle Willie Burgess, was born in Baltimore, Maryland on February 1, 1927 to the late Ivery and Lola McAfee. She peacefully departed this life on March 9,2017.

Isabelle affectionately called Belle and also Sweetie was e educated in Baltimore City Public Schools. Graduating from Carver High School with a diploma in dress making. She was employed with the Baltimore City Public Schools working in the Food Service Department for 28 years until retiring on June 30th 1988. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and reading.

In 1953 she met the late Albert Burgess, they joined in Holy matrimony on December 31, 1957 and remained happily married until his death. Isabelle loved the Lord and was an active member of Pennsylvania A venue A.M.E. Zion Church for over 40 years serving on the Lending Hands and Missionary Minis- tries.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory: her children Emily (Willie), Bernadine (Tommy), Barbara (Johnny B.), Gary (Carmen), Ronald; niece (daughter), Brenda Scroggins; sister- in-law, Marian McAfee; a host of grandchildren, great-grand- children, great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
