Ivan Alexander Adams Sr. was born of February 28, 1951 to the late Melvin and Maggie Adams in Roanoke Rapids, N.C. He received his formal education from the Baltimore City Public School System, where he attended Douglass Senior High School. Ivan had many interests. He especially enjoyed working on cars as well as admiring Peter Built Trucks and driving tractor trailers. He also loved to play chess, oftentimes dominating his opponents. Ivan was married to Julia Faye Pearson, and from that union they had one son, Ivan Alexander Adams Jr. He leaves to mourn his son, Ivan Adams Jr., four grandchildren, Kayla, Jasmine, Ivan III, and Joshua, two sisters, Gloria and Vanessa, one nephew, Stanley, four nieces, Ronda, Angela, Tiffiney, and Kimberley, eight great nieces, Monique, Tiara, Ashley, Nicole, Tamika, Kierra, Kori, and Briana, five great nephews, Stanley, Demonte, Samuel, Justin, and Dajuan, three best friends, Stanley Moore, Malcolm Richardson, and Bobby Mayo, and a host of other special relatives and friends in which he held dear to his heart.
