March 6, 1955 – January 20, 2022
Jacqueline Dinkins was born on Sunday March 6, 1955 to Britton
and Willie Mae Dinkins. She was a sister to 7 siblings; Four sisters
and three brothers. Jacqueline attended the Baltimore City Public
Schools graduating with honors from Western Senior High School.
Jackie, as her family knew her, was a student at Howard County
Community College where she matriculated in nursing and received
her degree.
shortly after graduation, Jackie gave birth to the love of her life, her
only child, Louis. Louis is her only child. Her miracle child, she
used to say. Jackie met her partner and husband her life, James
Coleman. They were married in December, 1993. With an
unbreakable bond and love, together they raised Louis. From one
son, Jackie had four grandchildren: Shamara, Louis Jr., Lucy and
Lucas. Yes, she loved them and had a personal relationship with
each one of them.
Jackie worked for the Elizabeth Cooney agency where she was a
private duty nurse involved in the care of elderly and disabled
patients. She loved her job! She was a people's person, so that was
her calling.
Holidays were the best! Jackie's presence would light up a room.
She put her family furst. She was a loving wife, mother and
grandmother. There will never be anyone to fill her shoes. Now
she is in peace. No more pain, no more struggles.
Jackie was preceded in death by her siblings Theresa, LaShawn, and
Carolyn. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving, husband
James; one son: Louis; four grandchildren: Shamara, Louis Jr.,
Lucy and Lucas; one sister: Debbie; three brothers: Tony, Britton
Jr, and Daryl; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and
friends.
