James Alfred Owens, Jr., son of the late James and Bernice Owens, was called home late saturday evening, November 25, 2006 at Maryland General Hospital. James, affectionately called Jimmy to some and Jamie by family, was born August 9, 1954 in Baltimore, Maryland. He was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System. He was a member of the United States Army and upon his completion he returned home to work for fifteen years at the Bethlehem Steel Yard. He also worked at BWI Airport for over five years and also for Phillips Seafood for a brief period of time. Subsequently, Jimmy worked for himself in construction. Jamie was the family comedian. His laughteer would make you hurt yourself. At times we would hold our stomachs or jaws while he cracked on everryone or told silly jokes. Many times we had t tell him to stop. How we will miss his smile and his laughter. Jimmy leaves to cherish his memoryl a son, Dontel a five year old granddaughter, Dashea; sisters, Portia Pery, Wendy Bracey and Sandra Stockton;brothers-in-law, Eric Perry and Aaron Stockton; nephews, Donell and Daiyaanl aunts, Elizabeth Stewart, Audrey Johnson and Marlene Johnsonl a fiancee', Yvette Carroll and a host of other relatives and friends.
