Obituary

Our beloved James Edward Brayboy was born August 29, 1939, to the late parents Mr. and
Mrs. Oscar and Drucilla Brayboy. He was born and spent his earlier childhood years in
Manning, South Carolina. His parents taught him to work hard, embrace joyful moments
and to be a God fearing man.

James completed the highest education for the airer in which he lived. After exploring
different states; South Carolina, North Carolina, Florida and New York to name a few,
James settled in Baltimore, Maryland. There he met and married Mrs. Shirley Brayboy of
forty years.

Mr. Brayboy retired from P. Flanagan and sons after working thirty plus years. There he
gained strong bonds and friendships with his crew.

James was enjoyed by all who'd listen to his fond jokes, stories of yesterday and heartfelt
advice. Any family member or friend could almost expect his early morning calls giving
hellos, birthday wishes or "Hey how are you". He shared his passionate hobby of fishing
with everyone he knew. He'd often drop off a few pounds offresh fish to those he held dear
to him.

Before his health declined James enjoyed attending gospel shows and community benefit
concerts; dressed in a sharp hat, suit, tie and shoes. Always embracing his family most high
under God; James knew and taught to appreciate the big picture but give thanks for small
measures given in the moments. Despite James illness he never once complained. Always
happily expressing his day as "Just Lovely".
