James Irving Colson, son of Mary Ann Colson and James Irving Kane, departed this life on June 25, 2011 after a lenghty illness. He was raised by his mother, Mary Ann. Irving was educated in the Baltimore city Public School System. At the Age of eighteen, He joined the United States Army. After doing his tour of duty in Korea, he received an honorable discharge on July 27, 1970. He went on to serve four years in the Army Reserve. He later met and married Dandy, and from this union one child was born, Kia Colson, He is survived by; his mother, Mary Ann; father James Irving; daughter, Kia; three grandchildren, Da'shae, Gary and Dana; four sisters, Bessie, Pam, Patricia and Phyllis; four brothers, Calvin, Larry, Mark and Keith; one uncle and aunt, William Harris and his wife, Tereasa; stepmother, Momma Pearl; sister-in-law Pam; a devoted friend, Paula who never left his side throughout his illness; nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
