Obituary

James R. Douglas, was born on April 9, 1971, in Springfield Gardens, New York to Valerie P. Hubband and Recueldo James Williams. His early years were spent in Queens, New York, however when his mother, as a United States Army soldier, was stationed at Walter Reed Medical Center, James relocated to Columbia, Maryland, where he was raised by his mother and stepfather, Harold Starks. James attended Howard High School in Columbia, Maryland, where he was very active on the track team. He was also active in the ROTC. He later attended Catonsville Community College, where he studied Business Administration and played Lacrosse. James was blessed to have two beloved children; James Douglas, aka "Deuce" and Madison Douglas, aka "Maddie." His children were the love of his life. James later married Kristi Douglas. together, they relocated, first to Sacramento, California; then later to Frisco, Texas. James was a Mortgage Specialist with Countywide and later with Capital One Bank. To say he was a football fan would be an understatement! He was a N.Y. Giant Fan Extraordinaire! He lived and breathed the state of the N.Y. Giants. He was a commissioner of four Fantasy Football Leagues. He was a well-loved Lacrosse Coach. He was an avid "Facebooker," with his moment by moment analysis of the world of football, especially the N.Y. Giants! When the season was over, he'd spend the rest of the year replaying the past season highlights. James was well loved and admired by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was charming and charismatic and magical and just the most likeable guy. He had the uncanny ability to develop some relationship with everyone he came in contact with. He was clever, witty and to say he had the "gift of gab" just doesn't seem to describe him enough. The world is simply less without him! He loved his family and his children more than anyone could know. He leaves the entire world to mourn his passing, especially, his wife, Kristi; his children, James and Madison, his mother, Valerie Starks, his stepfather, Harold Starks; his father, Rick Williams; his brothers, Alfonso his godmother, Stella Aikens; his loving aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of family and friends. We thank God for the forty-one short years that we were blessed to have him in our lives.
