James Lee Grant, son of the late Bud Gant and Rowena Cumbo Grant, was born
February 22, 1936 in Northampton, County, N.C. He departed this life on
Saturday, January 9, 20016 after a long illness.
James, affectionately called, "Neut Boy", enjoyed fishing, hunting, sports, and
frequently visiting the lucky lady machines. James was a member of The
Southern Baptist Church, and a delicate union representative at F. Boyd Smith

formally educated, he was a savvy, wise, respected gentleman, who was
successful in life and will enjoy fullness after-life with his Lord and Savior Jesus
Christ. Using his God-giving talents, James continued to work for the church
and community prior to a long illness.
Those left to cherish his celebration of life include his devoted wife, Gloria
Grant, 13 siblings, including Estelle Grant, the late Mable King, Jessie May King,
Doesha Grant, Darael Williams, Floyd Grant, Willie Grant, and Bill Grant. Loving
children include: James D. Neal, and a daughter Linda P. Mack, Eddie Lee
Grant, and David Lee Grant. His extended family of six sisters in-law, 5
brothers in-law, grandchildren: Anthony, Sonia, Dornessa, Veranda, Frank,

A special thanks to Gail Grant for her loving support, assistance, and continuing
commitment to the family. Special acknowledgement to Rev. Robin Grant,
