James Kenneth Gross , son of the late John Gross, Sr, and Dorothy Gross was born on September 13, 1950, in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life on October 30, 2025.

Lance Corporal James (Jimmy) K. Gross enlisted in the United States Marine Corp in June of 1968 and received the National Defense Medal, Vietnamese Service Medal of Combat, two (2) Purple Heart Medals, Riffle Marksmen Medal, Cross of Gallantry and Gold Frame. He received an honorable discharge, July 17, 1974. James Jimmy) than attended Baltimore City Public School and received his high school diploma July 31, 1987. He continued his education at Dundalk Community College where he received his Associate in Arts Degree, and a Certificate for Chemical Dependency Counseling in January, 1990. He then started his career at the Veterans Administrations as a Chemical Dependency Counselor and later retired.

Jimmy enjoyed karaoke, watching Jeopardy and answering all the questions correctly, watching old movies and listening to old school music. He loved creating home videos and practicing to be a ventriloquist. He was a natural entertainer and a jokester. He loved spending time with all of his grandchildren.

He leaves to mourn: One Son, Kenneth Anthony Gross, Sisters, Shirley M. Davis, Carolyn H. Gross (the late John R. Gross, (brother), Janet M. Miller (sister) who preceded him in death, six grandchildren, Terrell Brown, Keon'Te Gross, Kaa'Liyah Gross, Kenneth Gross, Jr., Dre'Quan Gross, Kai'Lah Gross (deceased), three great-grandchildren, Terrell Brown, Jr., Zerrick Jones, Kairo Gross, a host of nieces and nephews, David Moore, lifelong friend and brother, and a host of family and friends.
