James Howard Jackson, son of Rufus Jackson, Sr. and the late Elizabeth Jackson Edwards was born the youngest of six children on March 29, 1964 in Baltimore, Maryland. At an early age James was baptized and received the Lord at the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church where his family attended. James received his education in the Baltimore City Public School System. James was employed with several firms his last occupation was with the Noxell Co. in Hunt Valley, Maryland before becoming ill due to heart disease. James was a very unique individual he was sociable an liked by many. He was known for his sense of humor and made everyone laugh he came in contact with. James loves his family and was a very loyal friend. He had a special passion for children that he often called "little people." Without laving any nature children of his own, he pledged his loyalty t9 his best friend on her dying bed that he would love and care for her two children more than 20 years. ago and he did just that until his last day. James enjoyed music, drawing, cooking, watching Western especially John Wayne and football. He was pleased with the last Ravens game he saw on Sunday. James a zeal for life and always wanted to try new things. James loved the Lord and grew closer to Him over the years; James could be found sitting out on the back porch reading the Bible, praying or just relaxing. He was very open about his relationship with God and made it clear his belief was in Jesus Christ. He often said "God has a plan for my Life." One week before his departure he shared a vision in which God assured him his loved ones would be okay. James leaves precious memories with his father, Rufus Jackson, Sr. Shirley, 4 brothers Rufus Jackson, Jr. Phyllis, Charles Jackson Shelia, Angelo Jackson , Sr. and Samuel Jackson; 1 devoted sister Lenora Chapman Barry; 3 aunts, Leatha Mae Jenkins, Bernice Westbrook and Vivienne Bennett; 1 uncle, Thomas Scott; devoted nieces Trina Morris and and a host of nieces and nephews and cousins; 2 godchildren Lynell and Kiondra, Special thanks to Mrs. Hattie, Chris and all his friends where he had established a friendly relationship in the community special thanks to "Sonny."
