James (Jimmy) Colfield Hendricks Jr., son of the late Mabel Coates and James Colfield Hendricks Sr., was born August 5, 1945 in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life on June 25, 2017.

Jimmy was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System. He worked primarily in Construction and Home Improvement.

Later in life he married Dorothy L . Ballard. Just like the other "Jimi" Hendrix, Jimmy loved music, singing , and dancing. He also loved the water, whether fishing or swimming in it and overall enjoyed having fun .

He was preceded in death by one sister, Barbara Easter.

Jimmy leaves to cherish his memories: former wife, Dorothy L . Hendricks; six children, Kevin (Yah) Robertson, Roland E . Robertson, Monica Benjamin (John), Mona Hendricks, Montez Hendricks, and Mia Bailey (Antonio); 15 grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy M. Hendricks; brothers, George, Charles aka Sam, and Roy; two sister-in- laws, Darcell and Nettie; and a host of nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, great grandchildren, cousins and other relatives and friends.
