Obituary

James Edward Hunter, son of Bruce and Beatrice Hunter, was born
September 22, 1951 in Spring Hope, North Carolina. He departed this life
on July 14,2018, after a short illness.

He received his education in the Spring Hope and Rocky Mount Public
Schools.

He then moved to Baltimore, Maryland, where he met and married his
wife, Toni Donna Williams, on January 31, 1975, and the couple celebrat-
ed 43 years of marriage. (They were actually together for a total of 48
years.)

He started his own small business consisting of window washing, snow
plowing, pressure washing, mowing and trimming and litter pickup ser-
vices in 1975 and it has continued to thrive to this day.

BUDDY, as he was known by all, was a quiet soul and believed in helping
any and everyone he met, no matter what their situation was. His motto
was very simple, everyone deserved a second chance, because he was
given one, so he passed that on down the line. He was kind, generous,
caring, sympathetic and would give the shirt off his back ifhe had to. He
never turned anyone away who was in need.

He was a loving and caring husband and a great father to all of his
children. If they needed something to help further and make their lives
better, he was there to give it. He never said no to any of them.

He will be missed greatly and our lives will not be the same without him.

He leaves to celebrate a wonderful and well lived life, his wife, Toni
Hunter; two daughters, Yolanda Pulley (Terrell) of NC and Jade Day of
MD; three sons, James C. Hunter of VA, Dexeter Richardson ofNC and
Chaz Wheeler of MD; two brothers, one brother who preceded him in
death CleArthur Hunter ofNC and Wilbert Hunter (Barbara) ofNC; two
sisters, Marie Cromartie (Tommy) of MD and Queen Evans (Charles) of
NC. He also leaves twelve grandchildren, one great grand and a host of
other family members and friends.
