Obituary

James Long, son of the late Johnnie B. Long and the late Katie Lee Bellamy Long was born March 13, 1946 in Columbus County, N.C. After a 1engthy illness he departed this life on Monday, June 8th,201S. James or Jimmy as he was affectionately called receivcd his education lntne Baltimore City School System. James received his vocationial training Carver Vocariorral Technical High School where he learned to be an auto mechanic. At a very young age he met and married Phyllis Brooks, out of this union was born James A. Long and Michelle Tolson. He later married the late Barbara Footman. He loved being his own boss as a mechanic.and followed the song styling of James Brown. He Ioved to have conversations with family and friends. He touched many lives. He leaves to mourn him two daughters Michelle Lopez and Michelle Tolson, one son James A. Long, one daughter in law Renee Long and I son in law Edward F. Tolson who preceded him in death and Brenda Lopez who also preceded him indeath. Three brothers Rex Long, Johnny Long and Gregory Long, two sisters Rosa Long and Towanda Long, three aunts Rilla Johnson, Retha: Mae Johnson and Gertrude Johnson, one uncle Norwood Long, six grandchildren Gerard Long, Tavon Tolson, Deairra Lopez, Nichol Lopez, Bryan Shepard, JarteaBitde, ten great grandchildren Nia Long, GerardLong, Ginia Long, Ka'ron Tolson, Karnari Tolson, Ariana Tolson, BredisaLopez, Gregory Easton, Brooklyn' Johnson arid a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
