James E. Lowery, was born February 25, 1948 in Durham, North Carolina to the late Earl David Lowery Jr. and Margaret Taylor Lowery. His family moved to Baltimore when James was a young boy and he received his education from the Baltimore City Public School System graduating from Baltimore City College in 1966. James loved to work with his hands. Every summer as a teenager he worked as an apprentice for his grandfathers company, building houses in North Carolina. One of his first jobs while in high school was delivering ice cream. He had a love for electronics and attended the Community College of Baltimore receiving an associates degree. He continued his pursuit of a bachelors degree from the University of Maryland College Park. James retired after 40 years of service as a Systems Engineer from ASG Systems (formally Davison Electronics). His service to the United States Army Reserve expanded thirteen years. He married the love of his life Helen P. Reynolds in June of 1986. Of this union they had a lovely daughter, Patricia in 1989. After a short illness, James entered his eternal rest on Friday, March 13,2015. He leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Helen; daughter, Patricia; mother, Margaret T. Lowery; brother, Victor Lowery; aunt, Lucinda "Tab" Hinton (Uncle George, deceased); close cousins, Ronald and Kathy Hines, Cynthia Lewis and Lance Isley, Vicki and Frank McCain and Peanut and Dale Lowery and a host of other relatives andfriends.
