James Waldo McCray, son of the late John

was born on May 22, 1940 in Bucksport, south

Carolina. He transitioned into eternal rest on

Saturday, January 8, 2022.

"Bill" as he was affectionately known and called by

all who knew and loved him, will truly be missed. He

enjoyed spending time with his family, going to the

day program and most of all, EATING.

Bill spent a great deal of his time with his sister,

Georgia Blain, prior to her death. This was indeed a

great loss for Bill; but his great-niece, Nyree Blain

continued to care for Bill, as she had done for his

sister. Bill knew that he was well-loved, protected

and well cared for during his lifetime.

Bill was a participant in the ARC's program until

2017. The League for People with Disabilities until

2018. Bill then joined Today's Care and Family Adult

Medical Day Program until Covid-19 ended his

participations.

Bill was preceded in death by three sisters, Laura

Beauford Georgia Mae Blain, and Ojetta McCray,

and one brother, John Henry McCray, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memories: two sisters, Nita

Ruth McCray and Martha Jane Harris; caregiver

Nyree Blain, and a host of other relatives and friends.
