James Oxendine, Jr., affectionately known as Stink, departed this life on January 9, 2010. He was born on July 26, 1957 in baltimore, Maryland to the late Josie Wortham and the late James Oxendine, Sr. James was educated in the Baltimore city Public School System and graduated from carroll Park Sr. High School. He continued his education at the Carver Technical Trade Center where he received a trade in carpentry and became a "Jack of All Trades' in home improvement. He was well known as the "Dry Wall Master" in sheet rock. James accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and joined New christ Sent Fellowship in the summer of 2006. He was baptized in July 29, 2007. James loved and enjoyed family and friends with whom he shared many memories. Music and chess were two two of his favorite pastimes. He loves animals and frequently watched the Animal Planet and the Disney Channel. James leaves to cherish his memory; his wife, Terha Adeline Jett Oxendine, who was his devoted companion for 32 years; two sons, darryl Porky and James; two sisters, Ruby Jean Knight and JoAnn Baxley the late Stephanie Oxendine Ma preceded him in death; three granddaughters, Dashia, Sage and Sijya; four brothers, Tommy, Bobby, Jonny and Alphonzo Wortham; six brothers-in-law, LC, eugene, Irvin, Ray, Jerome and JC; nine sisters-in-law, Lanny, Rosemary, Jeanette, Sue, Doris, Sister, Mary, and Kimberly; one daughter-in-law, Jessica Oxendine and furture daughter-in-law, Nicole Dorm; four special cousins, Mattie McCray, Sherie williams, Beverly McCray and Charles Stackhouse Bubble; a close niece, his "Baby Girl"" Victoria Jones Toria; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends; including two special life-long friends, L.C. Jett Bug and Samuel Bryant Sammy, Ronalld and Chris were also special friends.
