James Hampton Presco known to many as (Chee Chee) was born April

6,1950 to the late James and Louise Presco. He departed this life after a

lengthy illness on May 15, 2019. His brother Calvin Presco preceded him

in death.

James attended Baltimore City Public Schools, graduating from

Edmondson High School. He married Ellen Green and from this union

Casey, Kevin and Keisha were born. He enlisted in the United States

Marines on July 30, 1969 and served in San Juan, Puerto Rico before

being honorably discharged.

James was employed at Spring Grove Hospital as a Direct Care Assistant

for 32 years. He worked with the patients, building a good relationship with

them and encouraging them to leave and never come back. James retired

from Spring Grove in 2001. While working at Spring Grove Hospital he met

the love of his life, Pamela and they married on December 18,2009.

James enjoyed watching football (Go Ravens} fishing, watching horror

movies and cooking out on the grill while playing his "oldies but goodies"

music for all the neighbors to enjoy with him. He had a cell phone but the

only thing he knew how to do was to make calls and play his bowling

game.

He loved going to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, where he served as

Security.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Pamela Presco; his sister Louise

Houston; his sons, Casey and Kevin (Leslie) Presco; his daughters, Mikell

Thomas, Keisha (West) and Imani Presco; stepchildren; Melody (Charles)

Hutchinson, Tamika Barrett, Demika Jones and Sade McGuire; brothers-

in-law, Tyrone (Evette) Jones, Everett (Cassandra) Jones; sisters-in-law,

Denise Wilson and Dorothy Cunningham; Seventeen grandchildren and

one great-grandchild and two nephews; and a host of family and friends;

And his baby girl Sam Presco (his cat whom he loved so very much)
