Obituary

A Time to Be Born ... On March 18th, 1953, James Lee
Robinson, affectionately known as J.R. & Slim was
born to the late Clifford & Estella (Pauley) Robinson in
Marengo County, Alabama.

A Time to Grow and Live ... James was raised by his
parents in the township of Myrtlewood. He received
his education through the Marengo County public
school system, graduating from George P. Austin High
School as class valedictorian. James believed in
education and went on in life to receive numerous
certificates and his Masters' Degree at Coppin State
University in Baltimore, Maryland. Believe it or not,
he taught high school for more than 17 years. James
also served in the United States Air Force. He was a
member of the Masons. He loved to cook, garden,
hunt, and fish and was a Master at playing cards.

A Time to love ... On July 2nd, 2010, James met
Christina while at their respective Family Reunions in
Wilmington, North Carolina and later married on New
Year's Eve, 2012. Wow ... James was a tall, 6'4"
handsome, charismatic type of man who we all loved
and adored. J.R. had a great spirit, kind heart, and
possessed the ability to love without conditions and
he could make you laugh! He was a husband, father,
grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin & good friend.

A Time to leave ... We are all God's children from the
morning hour of birth. He lets us live, laugh, love, and
have our day on earth; till sunset rays are cast. Then
one by one with gentle words, He calls us home.
James' legacy will continue through the works of his
devoted and. loving wife; Christina; children; Reginald,
Janet "Princess", Toi & Royce, grandchildren; Elijah,
Gabriel, Seven, Achante' & Royce II; brothers; Pettis
(Charlene), Robert T. (Carol); sisters, Athrida (Joseph),
