JAMES EDWARD SCOTT, son of James L. Scott and the late Lily R. Scott, was born on December 1, 1948. He departed this life on March 28, 2013 after a lengthy illness. He received his education in the Baltimore City Public School System. Later in life, he received his GED. As a community service, he served several years in the Meals On Wheels Program. In 2001, he became a member of the New Shiloh Baptist Church. He was a devoted son to his father. Even with his own disability, he ran errands and would walk his father to the bus stop and would wait for his return to walk him safely back home. "Scotty" known to his friends, always looked good and is noted for his African trendy style. He loved a good movie and loved to watch the news and discussing current events. He also enjoyed the company of his friend Terrie and many of his other friends who gathered in the neighborhood on Monroe Street. He will be truly missed by everyone especially the children in the neighborhood who he was devoted to. He leaves to mourn: his father, James L. Scott; one sister, Barbara J. Glenn; one brother-in-law, William N. Glenn; one brother/cousin, Lee Parker; one uncle, Roy Dempsey; one aunt, Mattie R. Cheriton from Pittsburgh, PA; his friend, Terrie Toppin; and a host of other relatives and friends.
