Han if J Asim, born James L. Webb was the son of the late Calvin and

Minnie James. He was born April 21, 1948 in Baltimore City. After a

lengthy illness he departed of this life on April 25, 2019 at 71 years old.

Hanif was an avid learner with interests in theology, science fiction and

astrology. He also loved music and Marine Biology along with his plant

collection.

Since his honorable discharge from the Navy, he held various jobs over the

years from postal worker, family therapist, realtor and florist.

Born into a large family, he was the oldest of five children and had dozens

of cousins that he was very close with. One of his favorite things to do was

talk and reminisce about how closely they were raised together and all the

fun they had growing up.

Hanif married Joyce Bell and they had six children together Latrice

(son-in-law Keith), Tarik (daughter-in-law Cheyenne), Khadijah (son-in-

law, Kevin), Hanif (Valerie) and Kareem (Olugbala preceded him in

death). He also shared his life with longtime companion and partner,

Carolyn Harris who also preceded him in death, together they had three

daughters, Kenyatta, Okima and Tahirah.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife and children, 14 grandchildren,

three brothers, William, Alvin (Michelle) and David (Doretha); brother-in-

law, Joe; in-laws Ronald Carter and Jerome Carter; a host of cousins,

nieces, nephews and friends. Granddaughter Daniya Angel Webb and his

only sister, Elinor Bradford preceded him in death. He was also preceded

in death by his sister-in-law Christian Carter, brother-in-laws Charles

Carter and James Carter and a very special cousin Basil Howard.
