Jamiya Gabrielle Rahman, beloved daughter of
Sharae and Jabril Rahman, left this life suddenly on Tuesday,
July 19, 2016. Jamiya left footprints in the hearts of
those she came in contact with. She was born August 11,
2007 at Mercy Hospital in Baltimore Maryland.
Jamiya began her education in the Baltimore City Public
School System where she attended Eutaw Marshburn
Elementary Schoolfor kindergarten and first grade. She moved
to Virginia Beach, Virginia where she attended Sherwood
Forest Elementary School. Jamiya was a rising fourth
grader and was eagerly awaiting the beginning of a new
school year. She was excited about ending the school year
on the honor roll as well as doing well on her SOL state
tests.
Jamiya was a lover of all things related to nature and
animals. She loved playing in the grass and she loved to
watch her pet fish Maddie and play with the family dog
Dusty. Jamiya has a special teddy bear, Mary that she
carried with her everywhere. Jamiya had dreams of growing
up and becoming a Veterinarian. Jamiya also loved
people. She hated to see anyone upset or hurt and would do
her best to try to make them feel better.
Jamiya leaves to cherish in her memory, her parents,
Sharae and Jabril Rahman; her sister, Jayla; brothers,
Jabril "Brother" and Jayden; her great grandmothers, Hannah
"Boo Boo", Delores "Nana"; great grandfather, Melvin
"Grandpa"; grandparents, Dianne "Me Ma", Owen "Pop
Pop", Donna "Granny"! Henry "Cee Cee" Jr., Seleh
"Grandpop"; five aunts, six uncles and a host of other
relative and friends who loved her. She also leaves her
Godparents, Carolyn and Darrell Bryant and Brennae Nixon;
a special great aunt and uncle, Maryam and David and
