Obituary

Jay Anderson was born on March 17, 1968 to the union of
William and Jennie Anderson in Baltimore, Maryland. He
made his transition Saturday, February 16,2019.

Jay received his education at the Baltimore Polytechnic
Institute and Frederick Douglass High School. After gradu-
ation, he worked for Walbrook Mill & Lumber Co, Big B
Supermarket, and later became the Assistant Store Manager
of Stop, Shop & Save and Save A Lot Food Stores. Later as
a youth counselor at Charles H. Hickey, Jr. School he found
his calling. He became a Community Detention Officer for
the Department of Juvenile Services where he was commit-
ted to making a positive impact on the lives of young males.
Jay was very dedicated to his job and worked for the
department for 15 years until his untimely departure from
this life.

Jay met Takisha, the love of his life on October 17, 1997.
They dated and were later married on August 5, 2000 and
shared 18 happy years of marriage. During this time Jay
accepted Christ and was baptized in the name of Jesus.

Jay was a devoted husband and father. He was a loyal friend
and truly loved his family. He loved to bowl and he collect-
ed coins. Jay also loved to dance. He was always the life of
the party. He also loved to make people laugh. He was quite
the comedian.

Jay was preceded in death by his father, William Anderson,
Sr; brother, William Anderson; brother, Anthony Wiggins;
son, Jay Anderson, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Takisha Ander-
son; his children Madison Anderson and Jasmine Watson;
mother, Jennie Anderson; sister, Devora Hart; and a host of
nieces, nephews, relatives, god children and friends.
