On April 14, 2008, God called Jeanette Rebecca Jackson home to live with Him. Jeanette was one of four daughter born to Charles and Edith Nelson in Hereford, Maryland on December 23, 1921. She received her education in the Baltimore City Public School System, graduating from Douglass High School. She worked as a fountain clerk at Hochschild Kohn and in a sewing factory until her retirement. Jeanette met and married Henry ''Buzzie'' Jackson and from this union came one daughter, Kathryn. With a country preacher for a father, God was always in her life. For the last 85 years, she prayed on bended knee each night before resting her body. Each Sunday morning she rose at 6:00 a.m. to hear sermons from Reverends Thomas and Bryant. She was an avid Baltimore Oriole baseball fan. ''Ginny,'' as she was lovingly called, sat on her end of the sofa and Buzzie on his end and togather the watched many Oriole baseball games until his death 2002. Her new companion, CoCo, was at her side until her untimely death. Left behind to cherish many memories are daughter, Kathryn; granddaughter, Loren; great-granddaughter, Tifanee; two sisters, Katherine and Florence; two sisters-in-law, Vera and Muriel; three brothers-in-law, Theodore, Clarence and Melvinado; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
