Jereline Virginia Dotson Weedon, the daughterofthe late Mahlon Biggus and the late Louise Hattie Dotson Weedon Jackson was born on September 19,1928 in Mt. Airy, Maryland. She was educated at the Lincoln Elementary and Lincoln High Schools inFrederick, MD.Inthe early years with her mother and family they attended the Asbury United Methodist Church on West All Saint Street. They lived at 210 Broadway for many years.
As a young lady, her mother Louise (Nanny) moved to Washington, DC after the passingofher husband Mr. Brownie Weedon. She met the late George R. Carroll Jr., and they had two daughters. Later, she met the late Columbus Bryant Jr. and they had six children. After the major health issuesofhermother, she came to Baltimore to help care for her and remain ever since.
Mama was soft spoken, with a kind heart, always helping others in her own way when she could. Little lady carried a big stick and there was times you got out the way. She had a look you got and she wasn't playing...we all knew its exit time (smile).
Mama was a good cook...making the simplest things taste so good. Nothing like a big old panof chicken wings, she loved them things...eat them all day at times, she be doing other things, she stop for a minute grab a couple, eat them, go back to what she was doing.Inthe evening time, she would watch her TV boyfriend, that Steve Harvey, a little plateofwings ...she loved to watchhim and that show...there would be no conversation, phone calls, nothing. Mama had her ways, she loved to eat out, go shopping, travel, it's the little things that made her happy. Now she's called home to be with those who preceded her, hermother, father, two sisters - Helen Weedon-Lyles (Gene) and Anna Weedon, and two children daughter Joann and son, Clinton (cc).
Now those who are to cherish her memories: six daughters, Jennifer, Sherrie, Barbara, Danise (Kenneth), Juanita (Charles), Roslyn; two sons, Tyrone (late Supreia) and Michael; 30 grandchildren, 80 great grand children, 23 greatgreat grand children, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and church family.
