Jeremiah Herndon was born August 9, 1939 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Laura Newman and William Herndon. He departed this life after a lengthy illness on Monday, August 19, 2013 at the age of 74. Jeremiah was educated in the Baltimore Public School System. Jerry who he was fondly known as, was an avid fisherman and hunt-er. He also enjoyed working on repairing houses; he loved spending time with his family and also loved being in the company of the ladies even in his latter years at the nursing home. Jerry was an outgoing person with a friendly personality who made an impression on lives he touched, leaving special memories in our minds and love in our hearts that we will never forget. He leaves to celebrate his life and cherish his memories: two devoted daughters, Kasandra Mason and Melody Herndon; two sons-in-law, William Mason Sr. and Gerard Miller; five grandchildren; four great grands; three sisters, Inez Logan, Sheila Alford and Carolyn Duvall (five sisters proceeded him in death); three brothers, Russell Herndon, Arnell Mason and Robert Mason (five brothers proceeded him in death); and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
