IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jeremiah Woodson
Robinson
October 26, 1948 – February 24, 2022
Jeremiah Woodson Robinson was born on Tuesday, October 26, 1948 to the late Charles and Mary Robinson. He transitioned from this life to bewith our Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 21, 2022. At a young age, Jerry was introduced to Christ our Lord and Savior and worshipped atthe family church. He continued to keep God in his life all throughout.
Jerry was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System. He graduated in 1966 from Carver Vocational Tech High School, with a certificate inShoe Repair. At the young age of 12, Jerry would go to work with his uncle Arthur and assist with various labor jobs. Doing and after high schoolhe gained employment as a shoe repairman working at Harry's Shoe Repair.
In the early 1970s, he started his career at Bethlehem Steel where he was a dedicated and devoted employee for over 30 years. Anyone thatknew Jerry would definitely say he was a workaholic. His family and his job were the two most important things to him.
Jerry loved his Mother, Aunts and Family so much and took great care of them. He was always just a call or a random visit away whenever they
needed him to take them anywhere. He would take his mother Mary and her sisters to the market, bank, and all over Baltimore to do whatever
needed to be done. He would even drive them to Detroit on a moments' notice to see their sisters Victoria, Josie and all of our cousins. When
their father passed away, Jerry took on a fatherly role and helped to hold the family down. He kept a watchful eye over all of them to make surethey were always safe and ok. Throughout his life he was very hospitable to all of his family and friends. He would do anything he needed to makesure everyone was accommodated when they stopped by his house for a visit. He and Gall would have Easter Egg Hunts, 4' of July cookouts andlots of other family functions at their house. You were always guaranteed to be fed well and made to feel at home whenever you stopped by for avisit. He was truly the one that would give his actual shirt off his back.
Jerry was loved by everyone, his favorite phrase was "and what not, um hum". If you heard those words, you knew Jerry was in the house. Whenhe wasn't working or helping someone out, he would spend time on Stricker St. at the family house with Bernice, Gail, Barbara, Ronnie, Harold (Dorothy). Ms. Inez the "Sparrow's Point Crew" and whomever else that stopped to have a good time. He was a true lover of life. He loved dancing, biking, listening to music and sports; football was by far his favorite, His favorite two songs were "Bernadette" and "I Need A Freak."
MamaMary gave Jerry a watch for his High school graduation, and no matter how many other watches he received, he would not take that watch off. When the battery went dead he got it replaced every time
Jerry loved the kids. Jerry enjoyed spending time with his great-grand kids, and taking them to school when they came to visit. Lately, he spent alot of time with his great-great nephew Kairos (whom he called "Peanut'), chasing him around the house, giving him his exercise for the day. Hewould let him eat all of the strawberries and bananas out of his cereal.
Sadly, Jerry was preceded in death by his wife Donnie (Gail), five siblings Harold (Dorothy), Charles, Calvin, Mary Ruth (Clifton), and Timothy.
Hewas also preceded by one of his favorite cousins, whom he also worked with at "The Point", Bernice Ford.
