Obituary

On July 6, 2016, God called His son, Jerome Mahoney from labor to reward.
He was born December 15, 1941 in Anne Arundel County, Maryland to
Mrs. Jeanette Mahoney and the late Mr. James Robert Mahoney.

Jerome was raised in the Marley Neck area of Glen Burnie. He received
his education in the Anne Arundel County Public School System.

On November 20, 1963, he married the love of his life, Gertrude Hudson.
From their union they were blessed with six children. He was a member
of Hall UMC and once served as an usher and trustee. He was employed
with Northrup Grumman, formerly known as Westinghouse for 35 years.
The highlight of his retirement was the fact that he was never late or
missed a day of work.

Everyone knew that Jerome was a family man. He loved his children,
grandchildren and great-grandchildren unconditionally and he referred to
them as Pop-Pop's Team. They could never get enough of their Pop-Pop.
Every time they came to the house, he would always have a dollar or two
for each one of them. They thought that was great.

Jerome was an avid Raven's fan. He also loved and enjoyed spending time
with his friends and extended family. Our family reunion meetings will
never be the same without hearing him ask, "Who's going to bring the
whole pig?"

To cherish his memory: a devoted wife, Gertrude; his loving mother,
Jeanette Mahoney, six dedicated children, Jerome Hudson, Annette Ma-
honey, Bridgette Hammond Tyrone, Gerard and Michele Mahoney.
eleven grandchildren and eleven-great-grandchildren will also cherish
their memories of Pop-Pop. He also leaves a brother, Robert Lee Ma-
honey (Clara); four sisters; Veronica Hall, Carrie Wesley, June Mahoney
and Wanda Ricks; one aunt, Ellen Cager and a host of other relatives.
Being a sociable man Jerome had numerous friends, but he shared a
special bond with his friend, Eddie Bouyer. Viewing Hall United Methodist Church Tuesday, July 12, 2016 05:00 PM - 08:00 PM Email Details 7780 Solley Road
