On the morning of December 22, 2010 JEROME EMORY PEARMON SR.also known as "Sonny" by family and friendswas called by God to "Come home, my good and faithful servant, and take your rest. Jerome, son of the late Ida Mae Coates and William Pearmon, Jr. was born on March 11, 1948 in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. He received his education in the Anne Arundel County Public School System where he attended Old Marley Neck Elementary School. He later graduated from Brooklyn Park High School. In 1976, he married his high school sweetheart, Sylvia Carter. Out of this union, they were blessed with hree children, Jerome E. Pearmon Jr.Jaye Shadena R. Pearmon, who preceded him in death, and Nicole L. Pearmon-Harvey. He was a member of Hall United Methodist Church where he served as Trustee and member of the United Methodist Men. He enjoyed Bible study, loved reading God's word and testifing to God's grace and mercies to everyone he came in contact with. Sonny was employed with Proctor & Gamble for over twenty years. He was currently employed with Anne Arundel Community College as a Stationary Engineer. He was a dedicated husband, loving father and the "Best" Pop-Pop in the world, He also shared his love with other people. He had a passion for fishing, enjoyed football, traveling, cook-out, and cherished quality time with family, friends and loved ones. Sonny was a non-judgemental, generious, kind-hearted man who left a warm and lastng impression on everyone. He loved to laugh, tell a good joke and his favorite saying was "Let's get 'er done."" Although Sonny no longer has physical presence on this, his memories and lessons will live on to create happiness in other people's lives. Cherishing his memory forever is: his wife;son and daughter; son-in-law, Michael Harvery;seven grandchildren, Kayla, Kirsten, Jaylen, Alyssa, Jaida, Kyle and Kyara; four sisters, Carolyn Smith, Deborah Coates, Cheryl White and Wendy Nowlin; Five sisters-in-law, Marie, Geraldine, Marlene, Shirley and Kelley; seven brothers-in-law, Garrett, Tom, Alvin, Kevin, Keith, Otis and Winston; and a host of family and friends.
