Jerome Eugene
Whitaker Jr.
Jun 14, 1984 — Sep 11, 2026
Baltimore
Jerome Eugene Whitaker Jr., at the age of 42, passed away on September 11, 2026, at 3:10 a.m. Jerome was born on June 14, 1984, at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. He will be remembered for his outgoing personality, his smile, and the warmth he brought to the people around him.
Jerome was the beloved son of Whitney Peters and the late Jerome Whitaker Sr. He was a loving person who cherished the time he spent with his family. Jerome was sweet and was a big brother to Kee Kee and Jessie, even though the two of them could certainly spend plenty of time fighting with each other. Those moments were part of the bond they shared.
Jerome attended Baltimore City Public Schools and later earned his GED. Throughout his working life, he worked at Foreman Mills, Panera Bread, and finally with the City of Baltimore Water Department.
Jerome loved hanging with his family, whether it was at big family gatherings, quiet dinners, or during the holidays. He had an outgoing personality and a smile that will be remembered by all who knew him. Jerome also loved watching sports, bidding on those parlays, and gambling. And one thing everyone who knew him could count on was his love for Patty’s peach cobbler— he loved, loved, loved it.
Jerome leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Whitney; three sisters, Tamara, Lakira, and Jessica; one niece, Shianne; four nephews, Anthony, Dreylon, Connor, and Cameron; aunts Robin, Claudia, Jennifer, Joyce, Ella Ruth, and Jackie; uncles Anthony, Woody, and Ronald; his best friend, Kendra; his godfather, Kim Hall; and a host of other relatives, cousins, and friends. Preceded in death is his great grandmother Naomi Peters, grandmother Florence Peters, grandfather Claude Whitaker, and grandmother Halie Whitaker.
Jerome’s life may have been far too short, but the memories he created, the laughter he shared, his smile, and the love he had for his family will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will truly be missed.
