Jerry Purcell son of the late Thedford and Delia Purcell, was born on November 23, 1947. He departed this life peacefully on March 21, 2015 after a lengthy illness. Jerry received his education at Dunbar High School in Baltimore, Maryland. After high school, he became employed by United Metal Company as a crane operator. He married the former Hanna Gilchrist, and out of this union one child was born, Jerry, Jr. Jerry made numerous friends wherever he went and will be sincerely missed by everyone who knew him. He was always a true friend and a devoted family man. Jerry leaves to mourn: his wife, Hanna Purcell, one son, Jerry Jr., one daughter in law, Ta'Tanisha, four grand children, Krystine, Breonna, Caleb, and Jeremy, and also one great grandson Zion Elijah. He also leaves to mourn four brothers and two sisters ... Calvin (Marjorie), Arvie (Linda), Wilbert (Linda), Lenard, Catherine, and Doris. There are also a host of nieces and nephews who will miss him.
